Checking Accounts in the United States are the most basic type of bank account available and more than fulfil the banking requirement of most Americans.
With a checking account most Americans expect that both a visa card and a direct debit card linked to the account are automatically given out when the account is opened and a generous overdraft limit is also given.
This is not actually the case for everone. If you have a poor or adverse credit score it is not a forgone conclusion that a bank will open an account for you at all. No credit check is always associated with those with an adverse
credit score.
No credit check checking accounts will only offer the most simple of functions. Effectively, they will only allow you to make and receive payments over the account.
No credit check checking accounts are basic in functionality
No extras will be given with the checking account such as juicy overdrafts and mastercards with large limits. As a bad credit person you will have to prove to the bank that you are trustworthy before they will entertain anything that amounts to giving you credit on your no credit check checking account.
Checking accounts for dummies - This video is rather humerous and although basic does offer some valid points.

Do not try any of the prime lenders like Citi or Bank of America if you want an adverse credit checking account.
You will have to go a bit lower down the food chain to some of the poorer credit rating lenders or possibly online only lenders.
Thats not true Johnny. From my experience and understanding even top banks like Citi will offer a checking account facility to those with an adverse credit score. All that will happen is you will be given severe limitations on the account making it impossible to basically rack up any kind of debt. For example they will not give you any type of credit card except a pre paid one and you will not be able to get a check book or a have an overdraw facility.
