If I have bad credit would I have more chance opening an account with a bank online rather than opening an account not through the internet?

Hi Paul,

I think you would have more chance opening a bad credit bank account online purely due to the depth of lenders that you will find on the internet.

In your home town, on the street, the number of banks or deposit providers is probably quite limited. Online you have access to a vast array of providers who actually specialize in helping those with bad credit.

Not only this, but due to the very nature of online accounts being on an electronic platform (less paperwork and administration) means that the monthly charge on bad credit accounts can be kept very low indeed. If you have read the article you will know that by charging a fixed monthly fee gives a certain amount of leeway for those with difficulties in managing their finances in a timely manner.

If you have bad credit and need to open a bank account, going online should be your first thought.

Mike, could you explain to me the difference between a credit check and a status check. I have read through your post two or three times and I am still none the wiser. I’m looking for an online bank account and as a matter of fact I do have bad credit. Don

Could you recommend an online account provider where I could open a simple bank account? I’m not interested in a credit card or having an overdraft facility. All I want is the possibility to transfer money into and out of the account.
